Fred D. Godbille

Functional Leader, Research & Development, DuPont Canada and
Manager, Kingston Technology Centre, DuPont Science & Innovation

Dr. Godbille is the leader of the Research and Development function for DuPont Canada, and Manager of the Kingston Technology Centre in Kingston, Ontario.  He joined DuPont in February 2002 as a research scientist working on numerical models for nylon and Sorona® polymerization, and has progressed throughout his career holding positions of increasing responsibility and scope in the area of technology and innovation.

In 2007, Dr. Godbille became a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has since trained and mentored numerous colleagues in Canada on Six Sigma methodology. Between 2010 and 2014 he held several Technology Team Leader positions in market areas spanning Oil and Gas to organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs).

In January 2015, Dr. Godbille was appointed Manager – Process Development and Scale-Up Team in Kingston and, later that year, he became Kingston site manager and R&D Functional Leader for DuPont Canada. Dr. Godbille serves on the Board of Directors of the Industrial Bio-catalyst Network and has been an advisor for the Queen’s University Technology, Engineering and Management (TEAM) course for more than 10 years.

Dr. Godbille was born in France and graduated from École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier before moving to Canada for graduate studies. He holds a MScE (1998) and PhD (2002) in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
