IACP/DuPont™ Kevlar® Survivors’ Club®

DuPont is proud to partner with the IACP in a non-commercial way to promote body armor wear via the IACP/DuPont™ Kevlar® Survivors Club®.  This partnership began in 1987 and to-date has honored over 3100 officers who have been saved from death or serious injury by wearing body armor.  The information collected from these “saves” is collected, maintained in a confidential database, and is shared by written request with academia, the Dept. of Justice, and others to promote wear and improve armor designs.

Read about some of the lives personal body armor has saved. Search our database of police report excerpts that illustrate some of the amazing ways body armor made the difference between life and death.
