Our Electronics & Industrial (E&I) Semiconductor Technologies site in Hsinchu, Taiwan, was awarded the Silver Energy Conservation Benchmarking Award by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs in December 2020.

The E&I Hsinchu site has consistently promoted continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology to refine processes for improved safety outcomes, product quality, product yield, waste reduction, and energy conservation. Through this methodology, the site has continuously lowered its energy consumption per product unit. In 2020, the site reduced energy usage by 2.6% versus the previous year and achieved an award-winning 23% reduction in energy consumption over a ten-year period.
