Q: What is DuPont™ Tyvek® Fluid Applied WB+™?

A: It’s a spray-on product that forms a long-lasting adhesive and elastic membrane on a wall assembly that controls airflow through the walls, holds out bulk water, and allows interior moisture vapor to escape, helping meet the latest building and energy codes and standards. DuPont™ Tyvek® Fluid Applied WB+™ uses advanced STPE (silyl-terminated polyether) technology, a polymer that offers several inherent advantages over older, typical acrylic and bitumen-based fluid applied air and water barrier products.

Q: Is it easy to apply using standard spray equipment?

A: Yes. DuPont™ Tyvek® Fluid Applied WB+™ is easily applied using standard, everyday spray equipment. No special high PSI spraying is required. A single 25 mil coating is recommended which offers 2 to 3 times the average of competitive products.

The product also offers low shrinkage during curing, superior elongation and recovery, nine months of UV resistance, and will not wash off the wall when exposed to liquid water (even before curing).
