As the COVID-19 crisis began earlier this year, Kaiser Permanente® was very concerned about the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE). Headquartered in Oakland, Calif., Kaiser Permanente is one of the nation's largest not-for-profit health plans, serving 12.4 million members. Kaiser needed to ensure it would be able to meet the increasing needs for PPE at its large network of hospitals and healthcare facilities as the COVID-19 cases increased dramatically.

As 2020 began, Ferrara Manufacturing was gearing up for a busy year in fashion. Located in New York City’s historic Fashion District, Ferrara Manufacturing has been producing Olympic uniforms for Team USA, runway garments and formal suiting for several major luxury brands since 1987. But in March of 2020, when New York was in need of PPE for frontline workers battling COVID-19, Ferrara Manufacturing shifted their garment production from high-end fashion to isolation gowns for frontline workers.

As the COVID-19 outbreak expands, the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) continues to be stressed. In response, Lowe’s and DuPont teamed up to support businesses that are transforming their operations to help supply healthcare organizations with needed PPE.
As the COVID-19 pandemic expanded earlier this year, there was an overwhelming demand for PPE to protect the brave workers battling on the front lines. To meet the growing need for critical protection and supplies for PPE, DuPont launched the #TyvekTogether program to partner with additional converters to increase the supply of Tyvek® garments to the marketplace.
